Description:

J.T. Mummert Consulting, LLC is looking for a 1099 Contractor, full-time Licensed Behavior Consultant/Mobile Therapist for our Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) Program, for 30+ hours per week for the Lock Haven/Williamsport area. Starting Wages for Behavior Consultants/Mobile Therapist for IBHS is $45.00 per billable hour. The BC works with children, youth, and young adults in the development and implementation of their individual treatment plan.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The licensed BC for Individual Services must have a minimum of ONE of the following:

  • Master’s degree in applied behavior analysis, psychology, social work, education, counseling, or a related field and one year of full-time experience providing mental health direct services to children ages 3 to 21 years of age.
  • Licensed Behavior Consultant in Pennsylvania.
  • Have a certification as a BCBA or other graduate-level certification in behavior analysis that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute.
  • Have a graduate degree in ABA from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
  • Have a minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in providing mental health direct services to children, youth or young adults and a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, or counseling from a college or university.
  • Completed a clinical or mental health direct service practicum and have a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, counseling for a related field from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
  • Be licensed in this Commonwealth as a Psychologist, Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Social Worker, social worker, behavior specialist or certified nurse practitioner.
  • Be a professional with a scope of practice that includes overseeing the provision of ABA services.

Responsibilities:

1) The communication of relevant information to the members of the treatment team, including but not limited to; parents, caregivers, teachers, behavioral consultants, Clinical Director, prescribing psychologists, psychiatrists, BHT’s, and other collaborating team members.
2) Provides individual, collateral, and family therapy to members based off clinical recommendations and updates from the written order by qualified individual.
3) Develops and implements the Individual Treatment Plan.
4) Completion of monthly treatment summary to be reviewed by the compliance supervisor. Reviews will include effectiveness of interventions being used, data indicating progression/regression and or consistency in treatment, and integration with other treatment team members, family, caregivers, school personnel, and community entities.
5) Collaborate with treatment team members to discuss progress relative to the goal areas described in the individual treatment plan, complete all necessary assessments, and make recommendations for the next service period. If you are considered the lead clinician on the case, it is your responsibility to gather information and recommendations from school personnel, if school services are requested, effectively communicate the services between the schools and the parents, also with other service providers and agencies involved. Everyone involved with treatment needs to have the knowledge of a general overview of all services implemented. It is crucial that you collect all supporting data and documentation to support the requested number of hours.
6) If deemed appropriate, complete Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) annually and/or update as needed.
7) Adheres to professional and ethical interaction.
8) Maintain client records in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations and protect those records.
10) Provide direct mobile therapy services to assigned members as specified in the individual treatment plan and complete appropriate progress notes and discharge summaries for members provided mobile therapy.
11) Provide clinical supervisions and ongoing support to BHT’s assigned.
12) Exercise a high level of professional conduct when interacting with family members, other agencies, school personnel, and community entities.
