REQUIREMENTS

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

One or more of the following required:

• Counselor credentialed from the Oklahoma State Board of Behavioral Health.
• Social Worker specializing in Clinical Practice credentialed from the Oklahoma State Board ofLicensed Social Workers.
• Oklahoma License (LPC-Licensed Professional Counselor) or (LCSW-Licensed Clinical Social Worker) or (LMFT-Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) or (LADC/MH - Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor/Mental Health Certified)

Preferred:

• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Clinical Counselor preferred.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate’s degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Provides behavioral health counseling services.

• Conduct patient assessment and establishe therapy treatment goals.
• Administer individual and group therapy.
• Maintain thorough and confidential records of observations.
• Evaluate progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.
• Provide patient with information regarding resourceS and therapeutic activities in the community.
• Work directly with the patient, family, physician and community providers to ensure active and collaborate care from the initiation of treatment to the time of discharge.
