How you make a difference:
The Social Worker Licensed Master’s will work under the direction of the Manager of Rehab Program, Psychologist, and Social Worker Licensed Certified, and will be responsible for conducting screening, diagnostic evaluations, and providing therapeutic interventions to patients. This will include brief therapy and crisis intervention using evidence-based practices, while adhering to licensure standards, as well as state and federal rules and regulations. The Social Worker Licensed Master’s will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to patients in need of social work services within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct intake evaluations and assessments for patients referred by various sources, including security, healthcare staff, and community sources, and make appropriate recommendations for further care, including referrals for involuntary treatment or specialized housing/observation.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including individual and group therapy, psychoeducational groups, and substance abuse counseling, based on clinical findings and patient needs, and ensure regular updates in accordance with local policy.
  • Provide crisis intervention and suicide prevention interventions as needed, assess for suicide risk, and provide consultation to security and healthcare staff on patients’ behaviors, safety concerns, and mental health concerns.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings, classification meetings, and other required administrative meetings, as well as CQI and QA studies, and provide staff training on relevant mental health topics.
  • Document findings, diagnosis, treatment course, and other required documentation in patients’ health records, and ensure compliance with Facility and company policies and procedures, including safety and mental health policies.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work or related field.

Experience

  • One (1) or more years of experience in a Mental Health treatment program, preferably in a Correctional or Hospital setting

Licenses/Certifications

  • Licensed or license eligible as a Master’s Social Worker by the Social Work Licensing Board
