The Expert Care is a Canadian-owned and operated staffing agency. We have been in the business of providing qualified and experienced RN/ RPN/LPN/ PSW/ CCA for various healthcare facilities across Canada for the past 3 years.

ABOUT YOU

We are currently looking for caring and compassionate RPN/ LPN to join our team of qualified health care professionals. The ideal candidate must be able to attend to multiple patients at a time in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current Registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing
  • Professional Liability Protection insurance
  • Covid-19 vaccination - Three doses
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certificate
  • Clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check within the last 12 months
  • TB test within the last 12 months
  • Must be familiar with online charting (eg. MEDITECH, e-MAR, Point-Click-Care)
  • Must be energetic and compassionate
  • Should be able to work in a fast-paced, busy environment
  • Should be comfortable working solely and/or in a team environment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Licence/Certification:

  • Nursing license with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing
  • CPR Certification

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
Pay: $50.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 12 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Night shift
  • Weekends as needed

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • LPN/RPN (required)
  • Vulnerable sector check from last 12 months (required)
  • Proof of Covid 19 Vaccination (required)

Responsibilities:

  • Work with fellow employees and Management to promote a positive atmosphere for residents, their families and visitors
  • Work with residents’ family members and other healthcare providers to develop care plans
  • Encourage and assist in maintaining the autonomy of residents whenever possible
  • Maintain accurate documentation and charting for residents’ files, incident reports etc.
  • Administer client medications according to care plan and document accordingly
  • Act as a resource, role model and supervisor of other staff while on duty
  • Procedure and policy administration
  • Orientation of new nursing staff
  • Process physician orders and ensure they’re sent to the pharmacy in a timely manner
  • Maintain confidentiality concerning residents, staff and organizational information
