Description:

We are currently hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the outpatient Family Medicine office in McElhatten, PA. This is a full-time position that typically works 4 day shifts & 1 evening shift per week (till 7pm). Saturday mornings are covered on rotation (every 4th or 5th). This office is open:

  • Monday-Thursday: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm
  • Friday: 7:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Saturday: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

  • $5,000.00 - 2yr Commitment | 0-1 years experience & recent graduates

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE:

Provides professional nursing care to office patients under supervision of patient care providers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Draw blood.
  • Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).
  • Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM, and IV drip.
  • Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
  • Assess patient’s general condition and take vital signs and weight.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures.
  • Perform IV therapy under direction of Registered Nurse.
  • Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
  • Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.
  • Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.
