Description:

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or a related field.

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 5 years of Procurement experience.
  • Work in multinational or large national companies.

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Proficient negotiation abilities, Application of strategic sourcing process, Project Management, Change Management, Excellent communication (technical, non-technical).
  • Skills required: Strong financial/statistical analysis, organization skills, strong Microsoft Excel skills and/or other database programs, a team player, strong written and verbal communication skills, influence skills, leadership, self-directing, and ability to work in a very fast paced, multi-tasking environment, English advanced (written and spoken).

Responsibilities:

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Report directly to Sr. Procurement Ops Manager LAT , responsible to attend Indirect Material needs for Peru plant, develop solutions, and proactively manage sourcing needs for the categories assigned. Ensures appropriate collaborative communication is occurring between buyers and shared services transactional teams. Drives procurement policy compliance across the organization for procurement activity within scope. Accounts for cultural and organizational specifics to assess readiness for change and overcome any barriers to change.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serves as first point of contact for suppliers related to category of spend. At their level, ensures appropriate collaborative communication is occurring between strategic sourcing teams and shared services transactional teams.
  • Define the sourcing strategy and then execute negotiations for local contracts in order to meet financial targets.
  • Maintain relationships with local suppliers based on Global Procurement supplier segmentation strategy.
  • Supports organizational change management efforts for plant or country.
  • Accounts for cultural and organizational specifics to assess readiness for change and overcome any barriers to change. Also accountable for compliance management.
