ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be an integral key member of Rheinmetall Defence Australia’s Integrated Logistic Support team.
The Lifecycle Cost (LCC) Lead is responsible for the development production and delivery of allocated Logistic Engineering work packages in accordance with the Program and Project requirements.

As the Lifecycle Cost Lead, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:

  • Deliver Logistic Engineering Work packages in line with the program outcomes;
  • The development and delivery of Lifecycle Costing data and spares analysis in support of program outcomes and deliverables (e.g. LORAR, RPL, ST&EL, EMEIs, User Handbooks / Manuals and Technical Publications);
  • Contribute to and shape Logistic Support Analysis Plans;
  • Support defining and determining logistical requirements predominantly at system/subsystem level;
  • Provide LCC advice and insights to the multi-discipline project team and senior leadership on LCC technical requirements, interfaces and other project considerations;
  • Calculation of sparing and life cycle cost based on the analysis results;
  • Provide input to contracted documentation, including inputs for other business areas;
  • Ensure compliance to standards and ensure regular part release;
  • Coordination of analysis with other business areas, including engineering, manufacturing, procurement and subcontractors;
  • Change tracking, configuration management, update of master data; and
  • Database handling, mass data processing, programming and field data evaluation.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:

  • Certificate IV in Material Logistics or short ILS course or other industry equivalent;
  • A minimum of 3 years in a similar role;
  • Highly experienced in Logistic Support Analysis / Management;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a discipline and provide SME input at all levels;
  • Highly experienced in Modelling and Modelling Suite experience (OPUS10, Simlox or equivalent);
  • Demonstrated understanding of statistics, risk management and systems engineering;
  • Experience working with theories relevant to DEF (AUST)5691 and 5692, LOG MAN, etc;
  • Ability to work with information covered by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR);
  • Proficient in MS Office (SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Ability to travel interstate and internationally when required;
  • The ability to work autonomously to create project outcomes in line with schedule and budget requirements;
  • A working knowledge of JIRA planning tool; and
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship)
