Job Description
Reporting to the Business Centre Manager, the Lighting Specialist will have an entrepreneurial attitude along with strong business acumen and a desire to succeed. We are looking for a team player with a demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and meet key deadlines in a positive and professional manner.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES:
- Drive and influence specifications at the consulting, engineering, developer and property management level for our complete offering of lighting fixtures and lighting control products;
- Support territory and sales teams needs while executing lighting plans jointly formulated by lighting sales manager;
- Provide product demonstrations for specifiers, contractors, distributors and end users;
- Manage and maintain lighting inventories as required by understanding customers’ needs, challenges and technology along with manufacturer updates;
- Develop long term relationships with lighting manufacturers and customers in a professional manner;
- Participate in trade shows and manufacturers events
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in the Lighting industry is mandatory – applicants not meeting the qualification criteria will not be considered;
- Five (5) to ten (10) years of industry experience preferable, and at a minimum in sales or a combination of education and experience;
- Expertise in lighting, electrical and design with project management skills;
- Knowledge in Lighting controls and products;
- Excellent oral, written and verbal presentation skills;
- Good software skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- AGi32 lighting design experience is an asset as is a recognized IES certification.
