BASIC FUNCTION:

Teagasc is seeking to recruit an LIMS coordinator to oversee the day-to-day administration of Lab Vantage LIMS across Teagasc laboratories and integrated systems. In addition, the LIMS coordinator will develop and implement ELN across research laboratories and oversee the future on boarding of Teagasc labs into LIMS.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Candidates must have Level 8 qualification (as recognised on the National Framework of Qualifications or equivalent) in Physical Science, or IT related discipline.
• A postgraduate degree and/or research experience in laboratory management would be a distinct advantage

SKILLS

• Technical competency and demonstrated experience of working with lab management systems.
• IT skills with an ability to navigate multiple IT packages, e.g Excel, Word, Instrument software.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Project management experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, proficiency in liaising with technical staff, research staff, management and private sector.
• Strong oral and written communication and report writing skills.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Proven record of working with LIMS in laboratory environment
• Aptitude for multidisciplinary approaches.
