Description:
JOB OVERVIEW:
The Food Preparation Attendant will perform a variety of food preparation duties other than cooking, such as preparing cold foods and shellfish, slicing meat, and brewing coffee or tea.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- GED or High School Diploma
- At least 1 year kitchen experience
- Excellent verbal communication skills required.
- Knowledgeable of proper food handling procedures
- Kitchen utensils
- Cleaning detergents and equipment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to stand, sit and walk.
- The incumbent must be able to work extended and flexible hours and weekends as needed.
- Physical demands include ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
WHAT WE OFFER:
As a part-time associate, you will be eligible for supplemental benefits. Occasional travel may be required to attend training and other company functions.
Compensation: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Responsibilities:
- Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage.
- Prepare a variety of foods according to customers’ orders or supervisors’ instructions, following approved procedures.
- Package take-out foods and/or serve food to customers.
- Portion and wrap the food or place it directly on plates for service to patrons.
- Place food trays over food warmers for immediate service or store them in refrigerated storage cabinets.
- Clean work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware.
- Wash, peel, and cut various foods, such as fruits and vegetables, to prepare for cooking or serving.
- Use manual or electric appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foods.
- Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed and provide cooks with needed items.
