We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Linux Local Administrator to support our global equipment monitoring project. In this role, you’ll bring your organizational skills and analytical mindset to manage and oversee the utilization of test equipments across our client’s worldwide labs, delivering critical insights to support high-value procurement decisions. You’ll play a key role in ensuring precise monitoring, seamless integration, and clear communication, while collaborating with diverse teams to drive efficient, data-informed solutions.
Key tasks:
- Carrying out administrative tasks related to test equipment, such as gathering and organizing equipment data (e.g., IP addresses, usernames/passwords).
- Integrating test equipment into a utilization monitoring system.
- Opening tickets, handling communication with clients and lab representatives, and managing overall administration.
- Maintaining network topology and defining network connections.
- Conducting user tests to ensure smooth operation.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficiency in Linux (RedHat, CentOS, Suse) at the user level (command line, remote connections/SSH, nmap).
- Fundamental networking knowledge.
- Basic Excel
- Ability to tolerate monotony, work independently, and demonstrate proactivity.
- Strong organizational skills with experience coordinating across multiple teams and cultures.
- Fluency in English and Hungarian, both written and spoken.
PREFERRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS, PERSONAL TRAITS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience at the Linux administrator level is a plus, but we welcome applications from recent graduates or those with minimal experience who are eager to learn.
- Operational experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of JIRA.
