We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated DevOps/SysAdm professional to take up the challenge of building and maintaining our hosting infrastructure that enables us to serve our managed cloud and eCommerce products to our customers.

REQUIREMENTS

  • You have a degree in computer science or have completed relevant training as an IT specialist for system integration
  • You are familiar with configuration management and automation
  • In addition, you have sound knowledge of at least three of the following points
  • Web server configuration and optimization for application operation (Apache, NGINX, etc.)
  • Software-defined storage technologies (e.g. Ceph, ZFS)
  • Database systems (e.g. MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL)
  • Scripting knowledge (Bash, Python)
  • Monitoring tooling and systems.
  • Virtualization technologies (eg. KVM, QEMU-KVM, Proxmos, Openstack)
  • Thanks to your independent, systematic and results-oriented way of working with great resilience, you will drive the team forward
  • You are willing to work in shifts (Mon-Fri: 6.00 a.m. - midnight + on-call duty, which is attractively remunerated)
  • Very good German skills (written and spoken)
  • Fluent written English skills round off your profile

Responsibilities:

Together with your team you are responsible for all virtualized systems of our customers - mainly KVM/QEMU-KVM - and manage our managed servers, with and without Plesk.

  • You install, maintain and monitor hardware components, overall systems and server and client systems of any software
  • You develop your own scripts and tools
  • Together with your team, you are responsible for the maintenance and expansion of private cloud installations (Proxmox/PVE)
  • The consolidation of legacy systems on new target platforms is also one of your tasks
  • You take care of ticket support to cover the 2nd level area
