Description:
Who we are looking for
A part of the Global Treasury team the role primarily supports the execution and ongoing enhancement of State Street Bank International’s liquidity management framework and related regulatory obligations. This involves engaging with multiple stakeholders across various business units, partnering with the second line of defence risk function and related governance forums. There will be a particular focus on liquidity stress testing design, methodology and implementation, also incorporating a broader stewardship of the State Street group intraday liquidity framework.
The major responsibilities include:
- First line of defence role overseeing the continuous review of key liquidity and balance sheet metrics
- Responsible for driving the execution of the local intraday liquidity framework, implementing and supporting State Street Group methodology and execution
- Support liquidity stress testing including methodology design, modelling and analysis related to all liquidity risks. Develop contingency funding plans accordingly
- Support the production of policies, guidelines, and procedures ensuring compliance with industry best practice and internal/regulatory requirements
- Proactive production of liquidity analyses for tactical and strategic business decisions
- Working with I.T partners develop tools for improving liquidity management
Other responsibilities include:
- Support recovery and resolution planning
- Participating and contributing to projects related to Global Treasury initiatives
Candidates should have the following characteristics:
- Excellent analytical skills and good knowledge of financial markets, settlement infrastructures and transactional life cycles
- Exhibit a high level of flexibility towards undertaking additional responsibilities as required to contribute to the overall team’s success
- Detail-oriented and ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Excellent Excel spreadsheet skills (coding skills are an additional benefit)
- Capacity to learn new technologies/systems.
- Professional, dependable and exhibit a high level of integrity.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with people at various levels of the organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related field
- 5-7 Years of experience in banking, financial services with some exposure to liquidity risk management in either a first or second line role
