DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will be responsible for leading shifts in a PLCB liquor store by overseeing the work of lower-level clerks and participating in the performance of routine duties is. This includes overseeing and engaging in customer service, ringing sales on a cash register, building displays, cleaning the store, unloading shipments, and stocking shelves. You will also provide on-the-job training to lower-level store employees regarding store procedures and policies, assign work, and review completed tasks.
This role will help you grow and develop your skills with additional responsibilities such as accounting and inventory reports for the shift, overseeing cash management issues, and resolving customer service and product-related issues. With managerial or supervisory input for issues that require special handling, you will perform and direct store activities independently to ensure your team can successfully serve customers every day. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

• Six months as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk (commonwealth titles); or
• Six months of retail sales work.

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS:

• You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
