Job Description:
Mayer Brown LLP seeks an Associate Attorney for the Litigation Regulatory Enforcement practice to provide strategic legal counsel on a full range of cross-border regulatory, compliance, and litigation matters, including mergers and acquisitions. Draft legal documents related to critical client matters based upon analyses of applicable laws and regulations in the United States and Europe. Represent clients before non-governmental organizations and international financial institutions. Conduct due diligence for mergers and acquisitions to ensure target entities comply with minimum financial and ethical standards. Advise multinational clients on compliance matters related to anti-bribery and anti-money laundering programs. Engage in legal research and analysis with respect to global investigations, corporate governance, sanctions, and data protection. #LI-DNI
Position requires a Master’s degree in Law, and 1 year of experience with cross-border compliance and litigation matters. Experience must include: 1 year of experience with analyzing and drafting internal compliance policies under French and European law; 1 year of experience with litigation matters in France or involving French parties; 1 year of experience with mergers and acquisitions matters in France or involving French parties. Must be admitted to practice law in good standing of the bar of a U.S. State, U.S. Commonwealth, U.S. territory, the District of Columbia, or within the European Union.
