Description:
We are seeking a highly-motivated and professional Litigation Attorney to join our client’s dynamic team in Wellesley, MA. This position focuses on insurance defense and tort litigation and the incumbent will be responsible for carrying out a myriad of legal operations including drafting pleadings, conducting depositions, and negotiating settlements.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough depositions to acquire the necessary information for case proceedings
- Draft and amend pleadings in compliance with relevant legal standards and protocols
- Represent clients during court conferences to present their case
- Conduct negotiations for settlements in order to resolve disputes favorably
- Maintain constant communication with clients and adjusters, providing regular updates and gathering necessary information
- Efficient case handling via the use of Case Management Software
- Use Adobe Acrobat for documentation and record keeping
- Demonstrate excellent analytical skills to handle complex legal situations
- Employ excellent written communication skills in drafting concise and impactful legal documents
- Administer claim and complaint handling tasks efficiently
- Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active status and good standing in Massachusetts
- High level of proficiency in legal software including 3M and Adobe Acrobat
- Familiarity with Case Management Software and Document Management systems
- Ability to use Conveyancer software for real estate transactions
- Adequate experience in briefing, Civil Litigation, Claim Administration, and Complaint Handling
- Knowledge of Consumer Electronics law will be considered an asset • Unmatched written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Highly organized, able to multitask and manage tasks concurrently
- Highly discreet, with demonstrable commitment to maintaining confidentiality
- Ethical and professional in all undertakings
- Eagerness to stay updated with the latest legal trends and regulations.
