We are a leading law firm based in Palos Heights, IL that specializes in representing municipalities, towns, and cities with their litigation and transactional work. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Litigation Paralegal with over 5 years of experience to assist our growing team.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a Litigation Paralegal, you will be responsible for managing and organizing a large volume of complex litigation and transactional files from start to finish. Your duties include but are not limited to E-filing, legal research, managing discovery, and answering interrogatories. You will also assist in the organization and management of document compilations, records, and databases.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Paralegal Certificate preferred but not mandatory.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Litigation.
Strong understanding of legal terminology and court procedures.
Proficient in the use of E-filing systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive legal research and provide support to attorneys.
Manage all aspects of discovery including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
Handle heavy E-filing in various courts.
Answer interrogatories and assist in the preparation for depositions and court proceedings.
Liaise with clients and professionals on legal matters.
Organize and maintain case files and databases.
Carry out regular administrative tasks, including managing correspondence, tracking deadlines, and ensuring all paperwork is filed correctly.
