Description:
LITIGATION SOLICITOR
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent full-time or part-time Litigation Solicitor to join the team.
The role is based within our growing Litigation Department.
The role has a mixed litigation caseload, to include a range of both personal and business disputes. The successful candidate will be working alongside other Solicitors / Practitioners within Litigation and will work with and report to the Directors and Head of Department.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- 2 Years PQE
- Experience of dealing with a variety of litigation areas to include property litigation
PERSONAL SKILLS:
- Strong planning and organisational skills – able to manage and diarise own case load.
- Excellent communication skills both with clients and other members of the department.
- Able to work independently but seek advice from other members of the department.
- Proactive, forward thinking and able to cope well under pressure.
- Good computer literacy and knowledge of case management systems.
- Hardworking and positive attitude.
- Wish to deliver a high-quality service.
- A strong ability for networking would be desirable.
Responsibilities:
- To manage all client work allocated by the Head of Department or other Partner.
- To provide an ongoing high standard of client care to existing clients.
- To work with Directors and other Litigation Practitioners, playing an active role in developing new business.
- To deliver fee income and achieve agreed time recording in line with targeted objectives.
- To have overall responsibility for credit control on own matters, in close liaison with Accounts.
- To keep informed of all changes in the Law and Practice and maintain relevant CPD.
- To supervise, support and develop immediate support staff.
- To perform work in line with the firm’s risk procedures, comply with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and the Rules on the Professional Conduct of Solicitors.
