Description:

Summary: Under the direction of the Manager, Residential Operations, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the day to day service/maintenance task delivery and customer satisfaction required in connection with the property and tenants of the designated properties.

What you’ll get to do:

  • Perform service tasks, maintenance, and operations including, but not limited to preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, inspections and tours of equipment, systems, and areas
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and code requirements within the scope of services
  • Perform regular inspections of all operating equipment and systems
  • Perform daily inspection of all common area, liaise with contractors for correction of problems; assist with monthly building inspections
  • Be knowledgeable of the buildings security systems design and configuration and operate as required
  • Assist Management with quotations for repairs and general purchasing
  • Administer work order system and perform repair/service and ensure all work is completed within a timely manner
  • Respond to emergency service requests/calls in a timely manner
  • Become familiar with the property, equipment, and security policies
  • Maintain operators’ logbook of equipment gauge readings and other operating data
  • Monitor inventory and maintenance supplies
  • Meet with service contractors as required and verify quality of work done, approve labour and materials claimed on work orders.
  • Knowledgeable with Fire safety, HVAC and security systems
  • Administrative duties as required
