A well-funded AI research company seeks candidates with strong mathematical skills and problem-solving abilities. Ideal candidates should understand high school-level math, solve complex problems, explain solutions clearly, and work efficiently under time constraints.
What does day-to-day look like:

You’ll be tackling diverse high school math problems and crafting clear explanations. Here are a couple of examples of the types of problems you might encounter:

  • Solve a system of linear equations using matrices and explain the process step-by-step.
  • Use integration techniques to find the area of a region bounded by a parabola and a line.

Note: A strong foundation in high school mathematics is required, but no other specialized domain experience is needed.

Requirements:

  • Mathematical Proficiency: Strong skills in algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus at the high school level.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to approach complex problems systematically and creatively.
  • Explanation Skills: Capacity to break down solutions into clear, understandable steps.
  • Time Management: Ability to solve problems efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment: Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Technical Setup: Desktop/Laptop with reliable internet connection and necessary software for mathematical computations and online collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or a related field (or equivalent demonstrated math skills)
  • Experience tutoring/teaching high school math.
  • Familiarity with standardized test formats and requirements for 12th standard mathematics exams.
  • Knowledge of mathematical software and tools is a plus (e.g., Latex, Google Collab).

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation based on experience and expertise.
  • Flexible working hours and remote work environment.
  • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI projects with leading LLM companies.
  • Potential for contract extension based on performance and project needs.

Application Process:

  • Online Math Assessment
  • Interview (if assessment passed)
  • Optional Mock Teaching Session (for selected candidates)

Typical duration: 2 weeks
