Role Purpose
A key role supporting Lloyd’s Insurance Company’s Europe and UK regional network working alongside the Chief Market Development Officer and Chief of Staff. The scope of the role is wide and is vital in oversight of the Lloyd’s Europe network and delivering the strategic priorities of Lloyd’s Europe and its UK branch, and to help make our market thrive in Europe.
Principal Accountabilities
- Work with senior colleagues across the Europe region to lead on oversight of regional offices, building and embedding reporting frameworks for the Europe region, including presenting regularly to Lloyd’s Europe ExCo and owning & assigning actions where required.
- Contribute and take a proactive approach in the delivery of Lloyd’s Europe’s strategic objectives, and Lloyd’s Commercial Strategy, including leading on specific projects as required.
- Create presentations and other material as required for internal and external meetings and events - liaising with Regional and Country Managers as appropriate as well as the Head of Market & Strategic Intelligence.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the responsibilities of Chief Market Development Officer to support planning and preparation for Europe regional activities such as external Townhalls, and internal Executive committee meetings.
- Lead production of regular reporting of succinct and insightful management information from Europe regional offices.
- Build and maintain deep trusting relationships with colleagues across the Europe region including Regional Managers, Country Managers and respective local offices.
- Support implementation of Lloyd’s commercial strategy for the region, including work streams on multinational, new entrants, broker strategy, education and delegated authority.
- Contribute to an inclusive, high performance culture across the region
- Facilitate collaboration between regional offices on key strategic objectives.
- Contribute to the design and communication of strategy for the Europe regional offices.

- Support effective risk management and oversight of the offices and teams in the region, including adherence to Lloyd’s Delegated Authority Framework and NetSphere.

Role dimensions
- The role has matrix reporting, primarily to the Lloyd’s Europe Chief Market Development Officer, and secondly to Lloyd’s Europe Chief of Staff.
- The role supports Lloyd’s market access for both reinsurance and insurance in Europe.

- Insurance market knowledge including Lloyd’s, London Market & International Markets
- An understanding at high level of Lloyd’s Europe operating model is desirable but not essential
