EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

The ideal candidate should be a team player who is focused with strong attention to detail. With critical thinking skills, you will recognise the value of precision and nuance as much as productivity.

You should have:

  • A commercial/business degree or an associated shipping qualification.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent numeracy skills and the ability to analyse and present market data.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience of working in an LNG trading environment is essential, preferably within the Maritime and Shipping industry.

Responsibilities:

Reporting into Head of LNG based in London, you will work with shipbrokers within global offices to gain exposure to the full shipping markets.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Proactively seek prospective clients and maintain a strong working relationship with existing clients and customers to ensure service standards are adhered to.
  • Assess the viability and risks of pursuing new business opportunities by synthesising ideas, processes and data to make recommendations and highlight potential areas of concern to management.
  • Preparing, facilitating, evaluating and negotiating to close deal efficiently and at best possible terms.
  • Client portfolio ownership and accountability, diligent system input and sharing of fresh information.
