Local Authority Coordinator

Battersea’s Animal Partnerships team works with external rescues and local authorities across the UK, supporting them with the intake of dogs and cats and supplementing Battersea’s regular intake. They are also there for dogs and cats who require a different, specialised environment via our working cat and dog programmes and breed specific rescue work.
We have an exciting new opportunity for someone to join our team as a Local Authority Coordinator.
The successful candidate will co-ordinate enquiries received from Local Authorities partners, focusing solely on the intake of stray dogs into Battersea care, ensure that dogs are scheduled and admitted in Battersea’s care efficiently and in-line with operational procedures, provide support to Animal Welfare Officers throughout the intake process, and supporting all 3 Battersea sites with related admin duties, communicating with Local Authority Partnerships and assisting with the implementation of any new ways of working with Local Authorities. They will also be involved in our exciting new Stray Dog Programme.
