Description:

At STS Education, we have been involved in cultural exchanges since 1958. Every year we welcome exchange students, in ages 15-18, from all corners of the world to attend a local High School, live with a host family, to learn the language, and to experience a new culture.
We are now looking for part-time local coordinators in the Nordic countries
Are you interested in being our extended arm and to represent STS in your city or community?
As a local coordinator you will be in regular contact with and be available to one or several exchange students and their host families and schools. The local coordinator role suits well for you who have an interest in young people and international meetings. This mission is great to combine alongside with studies or work.

EXPECTATIONS FOR A LOCAL COORDINATOR:

  • Recruitment and placement of exchange students with host families
  • Visit and interview prospective host families
  • Contact, visit and support students and host families on a monthly basis and provide status updates to STS.
  • Arrange or become an activity leader for events for students and host families during the program
  • Quarterly school contact
  • Support the exchange student and host family in a professional way and report to STS
  • Be active in up-seeking sales, such as contact with schools and local businesses and social media

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a genuine interest in young people and cultural exchange, enjoy meeting new people and are good at problem solving. You speak the native language, are more or less fluent in English. Further language knowledge is a plus. We also consider previous work experience from voluteer work or working in schools beneficial. You share STS company values and mission to strengthen young people and make them grow through education and cultural exchange.
Driver’s license (B) is required.
