Locally Employed Doctor Core with Research

at  Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust

It is anticipated that an initial 1 year post may be renewed for an additional 1-2 years, with the expectation that research activity will result in the application for award of an appropriate higher degree (MSc, MRes, MD). Prior research experience is advantageous but not obligatory. The successful applicant will contribute to the general surgical on call rota (i.e. approximately 50% clinical, 50% research); there is scope to accommodate this at either core or SpR level depending on the applicants clinical level of experience.
