MANAGEMENT OPPORTUNITY AT OUR NEW LOCATION IN ABERDEEN, SOUTH DAKOTA
Rescar is a privately held company founded in 1969 with the simple purpose: To keep our customer’s fleet moving productively. For over fifty (50) years, Rescar has provided a broad spectrum of services through its Nationwide field services network that include, railcar repair, railcar cleaning, railcar interior and exterior coatings, inspection/repair/qualification, in-plant switching, in-plant track repair, (un)loading services and troubleshooting services.
We provide competitive base wages, starting at $75K to $90K, with annual reviews and opportunities for advancement. GENERAL PURPOSE: The Location Manager will oversee all operational duties at our facility in Aberdeen, South Dakota, including the management of 5-10 employees while balancing the demands of Rescar customers, with safety, financial and operational goals established by Rescar.

- 1 - 2 years railcar repair or related field work experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow and enforce safety rules to ensure all employees wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and leads by example to ensure that all employees meet or exceed Rescar safety standards.
- Train employees as required and assist in repairs or replacement of defective or worn components on railcars such as truck assembly, safety appliances, brake systems, wheels, coupler and draft systems using hand tools, power tools, cutting, burning, welding, grinding, and other equipment.
- Ensure that all work orders and appropriate administrative forms confirming work is done correctly and to procedure are signed and completed as required.
- Manage employee work schedules to ensure all work is performed per time standards and efficiency goals as established by Rescar.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and productive work environment for all employees.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in safe working order for the location prior to use.
- Ensure quality standards on all work that is performed.
Manage the operation to meet or exceed Rescar financial goals
Experience
1 - 2 years railcar repair or related field work experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Candidate must be able to perform the following physical tasks:
- Working around heavy moving equipment
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Work in high places and confined areas
- Climb, squat, bend, twist, and regularly lift up to 50 pounds or more to accomplish work tasks
- Use of respirator as required
- Minimal travel at Rescar reques
