Description:
This post is based at Bedford Hospital. This is an exciting time to be joining Bedford Hospital, which has recently merged with Luton Hospital NHS Trust to become part of the dynamic new Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. There has been improved working and strategic developments across both sites and the Trust aims to work towards implementing integration benefits to the fullest in future , which is part of Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The post-holder may be required to work in other outreach clinics and establishments used in the course of Trust business (if necessary for the role).
Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of all patients presenting to the Hospital
To deliver a high-quality imaging service with a focus on subspeciality interests as applicable
To share, with colleagues in the Imaging Department, the management of all patients referred to the Trust
To share in the general radiology work of the department including currently a 1 in 12 on call rota
To support radiographers and sonographer staff in the department and also be involved in the teaching and training of specialist registrars grade, junior medical staff, nursing staff and medical students
To actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and audit
To have responsibility for and actively participate in continuing professional development (CPD)
