Locum Consultant General Surgeon with interest in colorectal Surgery

We are looking to appoint a Whole time Locum Consultant General Surgery with a special interest in Colorectal Surgery to Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is a fixed term post for 4 months in the first instance.
We would welcome applications from candidates across the full spectrum of experience, from those who have recently completed training to those who have well-established careers.
Any candidate who is unable for personal reasons to work full-time will be eligible to be considered for the post; if such a person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis with the Trust in consultation with consultant colleagues.
Should any further vacancies arise shortlisted applicants will be considered.
The appointee will, together with Consultant colleagues be responsible for the provision of General Surgical and Colorectal practice to enable the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Trust to fulfil its service agreements with Sheffield Health and other commissioners. Ideally the appointee will have a specialist interest in abdominal wall surgery and may be expected to assist in the delivery of the Colorectal MDT or benign resections including Endometriosis.
