Description:
The appointee will contribute to the clinical care of patients referred to the Haematology Department at both St Helier and Epsom General Hospitals. Participate in 3 out-patient clinics per week. The appointee may participate in the clinical rotas for the management of the inpatients at St Helier Hospital, but will not have their own dedicated beds for admission of patients at Epsom General Hospital. The appointee will have an office with own desk and personal computer.
They will have access to a microscope, including 2- and 6- headed microscopes for teaching purposes. Dedicated secretarial support is provided by shared medical secretaries/patient pathway co-ordinators. Responsible for advising all laboratory users, including general practitioners, on general haematology problems, as required. This post also encompasses a Clinical Lead Role relevant to the candidates area of interest/expertise to which 1 PA is allocated
