Description:

The Royal Free is offering an opportunity for excellent individuals to join our critical care team. We are undergoing an exciting period of expansion and development and we are looking for motivated colleagues to help us shape our future.
We are looking for applicants who have trained in either Intensive Care Medicine or have dual qualifications in ICM alongside a complementary specialty. We will support you to advance our expanding new services, deliver research, innovate, and develop your own career interests.
The trust is committed to supporting or specialist services in cardiovascular disease, oncology, organ failure and transplantation, immunity, infection, and rare diseases. As such, a candidate with a background in a complimentary critical care sub-specialty such as cardiovascular disease or peri-operative medicine would be welcomed.
The Trust recently launched a new research strategy, our vision is that by 2027, RFL will be a UK top 10 research hospital. We aim that all staff and patients will have excellent access, experience, and outcomes by virtue of world class clinical research. We would welcome candidates with a background in research and who would like to contribute to the research programme.
The post is full time, 10 PAs per week, with the clinical role either entirely on the ICU, or divided between critical care and the post holder’s other specialty. The post holder would be expected to either have their on-call commitments entirely on critical care.
This post holder will be expected to contribute to the growth and development of the liver critical care service, working with medical and nursing colleagues to promote excellent clinical care, education and research.
An additional role or contribution to our department would be seen as a major advantage. This could take the form of an interest and role in an aspect of hepatology, research, education, echocardiography, anaesthesia, or another similar complementary role.
For a more complete list of duties please see the attached job description.
