Description:
Applications are invited for a Locum Consultant Dermatologist (Adult and Paediatric) to join the Dermatology Department at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. This 6 PA post is based at St Mary’s Hospital.
We are looking for dynamic and forward-looking applicants to join a cohesive team of thirteen consultants in a cross-site department which continues to engage in an ongoing programme of outpatient transformation, digitalisation and modernisation.
The role will combine the roles of an Adult and Paediatric Dermatologist; clinical activity will entail a combination of Adult & Paediatric clinics, Teledermatology work, and Minor Surgery.
Applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register for Dermatology, or be within 6 months of obtaining Certificate of Completion of Training or equivalent at time of interview.
Clinical work will be divided between outpatient clinics (adult and paediatric), skin surgery (adults), electronic referral triage / Advice & Guidance. Additional clinical roles include review of inpatients, participation in a low-frequency out-of-hours cross-site Consultant on-call rota, attendance at multidisciplinary skin cancer meetings, and a monthly Complex Medical Dermatology clinic. Non-clinical time will be allocated to maintain professional development.
