Locum Paediatric Endocrinology Consultant

We are seeking a locum consultant paediatric endocrinologist to work with us in the Paediatric Endocrinology service at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
This post is a fixed term 12 months locum post to cover for maternity leave.
Candidates are expected to be tertiary trained in paediatric endocrinology & diabetes and metabolic bone disease and have an excellent, practical knowledge of paediatric diabetes management. Training and experience in metabolic bone disease is desirable, but not essential.

SUMMARY OF POST

This is a locum tertiary endocrine consultant NHS post undertaking 9 PA’s per week. The post holder will join a busy and progressive team delivering paediatric diabetes, endocrinology and metabolic bone services within Birmingham, the West Midlands and beyond.
This post will comprise 9 Programmed Activities per week including 1:6.6 oncall (adjusted for PAs); 7.5 PAs of Direct Clinical Care and 1.5 PAs for Supporting Professional Activities.
