Revelstoke Eleven Lodge is an adventure lodge located in the heart of the outdoor adventure mecca, Revelstoke, BC. It offers guided adventures and personalized culinary experiences. It is also the home of the Quartermaster Eatery, a fine dining establishment that uses seasonal ingredients from local farms, boutique ranches and wild, sustainable fisheries, to craft exquisite and unique dishes that change with the seasons. The Eleven Revelstoke Lodge and Quartermaster Eatery are looking for a cook to join their fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

POSITION SUMMARY

Eleven Revelstoke Lodge is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lodge Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional guest experiences. This role is responsible for hiring, training, and managing all staff involved in the lodge operations, including housekeeping, lodge staff, drivers and the experience team. Their goal is to maintain high standards of service and constant improvement of processes, whilst keeping the work environment fun and inspiring. The Lodge Manager will work closely with other department heads, the General Manager, and Eleven Central employees to implement operational strategies and achieve business objectives. This position requires a strong background in accommodation, hospitality and/or events management, excellent leadership skills, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in working within a luxury accommodation environment, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. This is a full-time, year-round position starting at CAD 65’000-70’000 per annum.

SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong working knowledge of Google Suite.
  • Proficiency with Mac operating systems.
  • Experience effectively managing a team.

  • Ability to work flexible hours when needed.

  • Must be able to lift 23+ kg.

Responsibilities:

POSITION PURPOSE

  • To support the Canada General Manager with all aspects of lodge and property operations for Winter and Summer guest programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/FUNCTIONS/TASKS

  • Lead, hire, train and manage the lodge team in all things related to rooms, breakfast, apres and transfers, opening and closing duties as well as wellness facility upkeep.
  • Ensure staff is trained in using the systems and make them aware of standards as well as ensuring the standards are being followed.
  • Develop and establish standard operating procedures (SOPs), create lodge checklists on our in-house PMS, and ensure these are followed by all supervisees.
  • Take initiative to further product quality by questioning operational norms, proposing solutions, and striving to innovate and streamline the operation.
  • Provide meaningful leadership within the Eleven Revelstoke Lodge Team by leading by example, supporting staff whenever necessary, and working alongside the Restaurant Manager and Head Chef to create a wholesome work environment.
  • Provide a fun work environment for the team by planning staff outings and team building events.
  • Manager Winter and Summer vendor relationships, including creating vendors contracts and collecting pricing etc.
  • Manage the Wellness program by building relationships with wellness providers, supporting the Experience Team with scheduling of contractors, and ensuring sufficient inventory.
  • Support implementation of a new events product in collaboration with the Restaurant Manager and head Chef.
  • Support housekeeping where needed and ensure the meticulous upkeep of all facilities through detailed daily cleaning procedures and regular deep cleaning schedules.
  • Create new guest experiences, including creative new apres settings.
  • Manage the guest experience by working externally with clients and internally with the operations teams.
  • Lead the recruitment, hiring, coaching and terminating process for your department in accordance with the General Manager.
  • Perform staff reviews, creating schedules and manage staff payroll.
  • Create, implement and update training manuals and checklists for SOPs.
  • Lead training on guest service procedures to all staff, emphasizing accountability and importance of the standard.
  • Facilitate clear communication between all departments and be proactive to continuously improve internal communication practices.
  • Assist the lodge team in delivering full experience stays by executing daily itineraries and handling reservations, activity logistics, transportation schedules and town activities.
  • Take charge of guest communication, requests and/or other items in support of the Experience Managers and ensure all final bills are itemized and charged correctly.
  • Track and order all guest special requests (i.e. liquor, amenities, food, etc.) and ensure all facilities are set up to guest needs.
  • Manage inventory of lodge amenities, cleaning items, lodge specific F&B like minibar supplies and retail.
  • Control, monitor, and report credit card expenses that support buildings and operations.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
