Description:

The Logistic Development Director is responsible for driving Hempel’s Logistic Transformation journey. This role involves defining and developing logistic and manufacturing footprints across regions and segments in partnership with regional stakeholders. The role will continuously improve logistics across Hempel, including concept developments such as:

  • Lead, manage and develop the Logistic Development team.
  • Define and drive footprint studies.
  • Develop strategic 3PL network.
  • Continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support and drive implementing of supporting platforms.
  • Lead Time Improvement
  • Sharing best practices internally
  • Support E-Commerce development

Additionally, the Logistic Development team is responsible for analyzing logistical cost across the group to efficiently manage both the cost and product flow through the value chain. This includes developing a network of strategic 3PL to reduce complexity and build economy of scale with key stakeholders in operation and procurement. The role also encompasses continues improvement and drive initiatives that improves service level and reduce cost. This includes supporting implementing digital solutions to reduce complexity and provide platforms for better and more cost-effective decisions. Coordinating the sharing of best practice across the operational regions and supporting the implementation of the new e-Business platform

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meeting Customer Requirements and SLAs: Ensure customer needs are met and service level agreements are adhered to.
  • Cost Efficiency: Lower the total logistic cost across the group.
  • Strategic Projects Delivery: Implement integrated and automated solutions to increase speed, reduce human errors, and enhance transparency from order to cash.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

Experience With:

  • 3PLs Solutions
  • Last Mile Logistics (Retail/Wholesale)
  • E-commerce Logistics
  • Bonded Warehouses
  • Forwarder Management
  • Project Management: Proven experience in driving regional or global projects.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to present complex information clearly.
