Description:

Mr Price Logistics has an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating visibility and extracting meaningful insights from data to assist the business with decision making through identification of various facts and trends.

  • Qualifications: •Degree in Statistics, Business Management, Supply Chain or similar with a focus on data analytics, business information management.•2-3 years’ experience in data analytics, data preparation, visualizaion, quantitative research methods, Tableau report building•Statistics, Intermediate SQL, Supply Chain & Logistics, Tableau report building•Basic understanding of Logistics and Supply Chain.
  • Responsibilities: • To compile and analyse data to provide insights to Logistics and Supply Chain team in order to influence and make recommendations to relevant stakeholders on any business risk.•Develop various reports that are run on a regular basis, automate and schedule reports, Monitor and maintain deployed reports.• Extracting & processing data (internal systems) to create visibility for informed decision making by relevant stakeholders.• Participate in the retrieval, analysis, simplification and representation of complex data.• Interpret data using specific methods and technology.• Create reports on patterns and trends identified in the business to aid the business in making well-informed decisions.• Collecting data from multiple sources including primary, secondary, internal and external sources to generate data for analysis.• Spec’ing, building and testing reports and dashboards based on business requirements and presenting to relevant stakeholders.• Preparing data for readiness of use, while assessing the quality of the data.• Validate data (Financial and Non-financial) and problem solve to ensure data accuracy and drive continuous improvement.•Involvement in data analytics for improvement projects to enhance and optimise processes.•Be involved in optimisation projects with the broader logistics team.•Transform problem statements into data extraction, resulting in meaningful solutions being implemented.
