In your role as The Logistics Analytics Coordinator, at The North West Company (TNWC), you will be responsible for extracting data from the available sources and creating summary reports to support department leadership.

Your Role:

  • Extract data from the available sources and create summary reports to support department leadership.
  • Explore new analytical tools to perform research and data analysis
  • Prepare Catalogue report procedures and assumptions, to ensure they are retained by the department.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs to ensure fluidity and efficiency within the network.
  • Liaise with logistics management teams to determine ways to optimize service levels, maintain supply-chain efficiency and minimize cost.
  • Partner with Store Operations and Category Management teams to determine key opportunities for continuous improvement within the planning cycle and output to drive both short term and long term improvement.
  • Identify the information needed to clarify a situation, seek that information from appropriate sources, and skillfully draw out the information
  • Understand industry standards, trends, or practices to identify developments in logistics planning or execution.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain and Logistics or related field.
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in Supply Chain & Logistics in an operational and/or analytical capacity.
  • Previous experience working with the Oracle Transportation Management System would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Mid to advanced level of skill in the use of computer and office equipment and Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Visio, and Project would be beneficial.
  • At least elementary knowledge in programming/data extraction (VBA, SQL).
  • Demonstrate initiative to independently plan, organize, and prioritize workload taking into consideration conflicting deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral format with the general public, employees, and external organizations.
  • Demonstrate information gathering skills used to find and identify essential information; utilize new information for future problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with internal and external business partners.
