As our new Senior Logistics Business Development Manager, you will work proactively and make the next step forward with us. We are seeking a colleague who will work with a great team of dynamic, innovative, and motivated people in our headquarters in Berlin.
Job Description
- Manage and optimize the logistics budget, ensuring cost control and operational efficiency across all logistics activities.
- Lead, coach, and manage a multinational team of around 10 people, driving their performance and development.
- Establish KPIs to monitor business health, creating processes to track and improve performance continuously.
- Oversee the performance of cost-controlling processes, identifying and executing opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, ensuring clear, high-level communication while also supporting your team to drive results.
- Work with Business Analysis, Business Engineering, Product, and Tech teams to implement automation tools, reducing manual processes and improving team efficiency.
- Manage cross-functional projects aimed at improving the controlling function, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines, budget controls, and risk management within global initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 6+ years of relevant work experience
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in accounting, cost control, automotive logistics, or transportation is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team toward shared goals.
- Proven ability to take ownership of tasks, learn quickly, and continuously drive improvements.
- Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on proactive, transparent communication both upward to senior stakeholders and downward to the team.
- Attention to detail, with a willingness to learn Auto1’s internal processes and tools and become a subject matter expert.
- Experience managing multiple priorities simultaneously, meeting time-sensitive deadlines, and maintaining budget discipline.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to distill complex quantitative concepts into understandable insights.
- Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in additional European languages is a plus.
