B2Gold is a low-cost international senior gold producer headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. Founded in 2007, today, B2Gold has operating gold mines in Mali, Namibia and the Philippines, a mine under construction in northern Canada and numerous development and exploration projects in various countries including Mali, Colombia and Finland. B2Gold forecasts total consolidated gold production of between 860,000 and 940,000 ounces in 2024.

DESIRED COMPETENCIES AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience working in a travel coordination or logistics role in a remote based operation, with preference given to those with experience in remote mining environments (specifically exploration projects);
  • Experience in purchasing, shipping and receiving and familiarity with Forecast Plus or similar purchasing program;
  • Post-Secondary Diploma in Travel, Transportation and Supply Chain Management preferred;
  • Prior experience working in a remote camp setting with limited access to resources considered an asset; and
  • WHIMS Certification and/or Level 1 First Aid considered an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the safe, efficient and timely transport of Exploration personnel (employees and contractors) from major centers to and from the Goose site;
  • Arrange air charter services for movement of cargo to site;
  • Coordinate logistics with vendors to ensure timely shipping and receiving of freight, supplies and materials to and from site;
  • Facilitate acquiring goods and services through the selected purchasing program;
  • Organize allocation of personnel in the Exploration camp; and
  • Participate in daily toolbox meetings to promote compliance to B2Gold Nunavut’s safety policies and procedures.
