KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Good application of functional maths and English skills
  • Intermediate software skills (Excel in particular)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Certification in Export Process
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in logistics coordination, preferably in a manufacturing or shipping environment
  • In-depth knowledge of import/export procedures, trade compliance and international shipping regulations
  • Strong understanding of freight forwarding and transportation management systems (TMS)
  • Proficiency in [relevant software, e.g., SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics 365 or logistics-specific tools]

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimise end-to-end supply chain logistics for domestic and international shipments.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and logistics providers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Oversee import/export operations, ensuring adherence to customs regulations and trade compliance.
  • Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
  • Monitor shipments, troubleshoot delays, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Negotiate contracts and rates with logistics service providers to achieve cost-effective solutions.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through detailed tracking and reporting.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless workflow.
  • To lead and co-ordinate preparation of products for shipping including packaging for multi-model transport methods.
  • Arrange supplies, stock, and material for packaging to ensure products processed for delivery and through the warehouse efficiently and safely.
  • End to end co-ordination of aftersales orders.
  • To ensure that all products shipped are processed correctly through our system for dispatch.
  • Liaise with 3rd parties to ensure the timely clearance of ITM’s goods through customs.
  • Arrange, control and co-ordinate materials movements on behalf of ITM.
  • Consult with the key Stakeholders (Warehouse, Production, Projects, Aftermarket, Procurement and Finance) on planning matters.
  • Utilising Logistics IT to optimise shipping and transport procedures.
  • Arranging of site-specific deliveries such as cranes and other essential equipment to support material movement receipt or for shipping out.
  • Monitor shipments and movements to ensure plans are met and customers (internal & external) are kept informed of any changes or risks.
  • Keep records of all shipping operations.
  • Process all stock movements through Dynamics.
  • Support the daily scheduling of goods in / out.
  • Proactively resolve issues and implement improvements.
  • Ensure that safety polices are understood and respected within your area of responsibility.
  • Participate in improvement activities / kaizen workshops.
  • Attend training courses when required.
