Overview: As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for organizing and managing inventory, storage and transportation of goods to support both internal and external customer requirements.

What you’ll do:

  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ordering new items as needed to keep the inventory fully stocked and supplied to support requirements.
  • Purchase necessary MRO materials ensuring availability of parts and supplies.
  • Timely and accurate purchases and receipt of materials and supplies are performed through the SAP/ ERP and other direct order systems including e-procurement/e-sourcing applications.
  • Receive, unpack and deliver goods, re-stock items as necessary.
  • Perform physical count of inventory and reconcile actual stock count to computer generated reports.
  • Move received materials from the point of receipt to storage. Ensure that goods are adequately labelled and stored in accordance with first-in, first-out control and other standard operating procedures. Also complete necessary computer transactions, and ensure that these goods are adequately identified for subsequent use.
  • Package and label materials for shipment in accordance with standard operating procedures and documented specific customer requirements.
  • Create and issue associated shipping documentation for export shipments and arrange transportation based on company and customer requirements.
  • In conjunction with the Senior Buyer, work to optimize the procurement systems, with primary focus on using standard and agreed replenishment techniques to achieve inventory optimization.
