JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Logistics Executive to manage and oversee the import/export operations, ensuring full compliance with relevant customs regulations and international trade laws. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of logistics processes, guiding internal stakeholders on compliance matters, and maintaining accurate documentation for audit purposes.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Implement and monitor import/export policies and procedures in strict adherence to the Customs Acts and regulations of relevant countries and authorities, ensuring smooth international trade operations.
- Provide expert guidance to internal teams on regulatory and licensing changes impacting compliance, particularly in relation to the exporting country’s legal requirements. Stay up-to-date on global trade laws and proactively advise stakeholders of any changes.
- Ensure all export-controlled items are properly documented and tracked, adhering to best practices. Maintain up-to-date records for all shipments and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for internal and external audits.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of import/export activities for internal audits and external regulatory audits, ensuring transparency and compliance with applicable legal standards.
- Collaborate with various internal departments (e.g., legal, finance, operations) to ensure compliance across the supply chain and effective resolution of any issues related to customs and import/export processes.
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 3 years of experience with the Singapore Strategic Goods (Control) Act and U.S. Export Control Regulations (e.g., ITAR, EAR), with a solid understanding of compliance requirements for international trade and technology exports.
- Proven experience in managing export controls, particularly in technology systems or regulated tech industries, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies.
- Previous experience in logistics, with a solid understanding of supply chain management and the movement of goods across international borders.
