Description:

Purpose: Provides supervision, direction, and support to logistical operations on the APS-2 program. Responsible for Inventory Control and management of Government equipment. Provides asset visibility by unit and type; integrates/manages data and reports; and coordinates with the 405th AFSBn-Germany Accountable Officer to ensure property/equipment is in the proper state of readiness and available for re-issue to units.
Positions Reporting to this Function: Supply Supervisors, Logistics Management Analyst, Accountability Analysts, Supply Technician Leads, Supply Technicians, Warehouse Workers, Laborers, Movement Control Drivers, Material Coordinator -Truck Driver ADR Leads, Production Control Clerks, and General Reports Clerk.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Generates detailed reports from Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-A).
  • Performs research using Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A), receipt processing, inventory adjustments, equipment receipts from the Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC) and create Material Release Orders (MROs).
  • Analyzes data and provide recommendations.
  • Ensures that all quality standards and metrics are met, and that all work is properly completed.
  • Manages assigned resources necessary to accomplish the mission.
  • Enforces strict adherence to technical data and management procedures.
  • Initiates management actions to meet new workloads or correct reported/perceived deficiencies.
  • Able to accurately process Inventory Adjustment Reports (IARs) for review, submittal, and approval.
  • Able to write and understand External and Internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensures 100 percent accountability of all assigned APS-2 equipment and validates equipment is on-hand and reflected accurately in the relevant Logistics Information System (LIS).
  • Ensure the accurate reporting of all assigned APS-2 equipment in the relevant LIS.
  • Conducts item research in GCSS-A and other LIS to include frustrated items.
  • Corrects errors in paperwork and/or relevant LIS data and reports all errors promptly to Supply Manager.
  • Ensures all personnel understand and follow all Company and Government policies, procedures, and directives.
  • Able to interact professionally with the PM, COO, GM, and other managers in decision making and strategic planning.
  • Works in conjunction with other supply personnel to accomplish all required taskings.
  • Provides timely, accurate, and relevant information to the Supply Manager and/or Government personnel as required.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining metrics for their department that accurately reflect performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualification & Experience Requirements: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

  • Minimum of 10 years of related work experience with a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience. Must have comprehensive knowledge of military governing regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions.
  • Prior military supply experience (Army MOS: 92Y/920A or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Ability to provide information and reports, resolve issues and recommend actions to improve delivery of services to the customers.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills are required.
  • Must possess the appropriate verbal and written communications to conduct meetings, evaluate plans, and prepare reports, plans and working instructions.
  • Excellent computer, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required. Computer skills include a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Formal Training: GCSS-A certification and/or Military AIT/industry 40hr course equivalent.
  • Must complete internal APS-2 GCSS-A training within 60 days of hire.
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Must be able to meet and maintain all base access security requirements.
  • Must be able to meet and maintain all LIS access requirements (Common Access Card).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a US Passport.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to independently operate with minimal supervision.
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of operations, logistics, and maintenance.
  • Must have demonstrated leadership and management skills, including a professional demeanor.
