Description:

We are seeking a Logistics Manager to join a fashion wholesaler in Montreal!
Full time. Permanent.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee a team including shipper, receiver, warehouse coordinator, picker, and packer, ensuring strong collaboration and motivation;
  • Develop and structure the logistics department to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize processes;
  • Foster a high-performing team by motivating and developing members while ensuring a clear succession plan;
  • Ensure compliance with all logistics certification processes, tariffs, and customs regulations for the Bonded Warehouse for US distribution;
  • Oversee transportation service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries;
  • Monitor shipment timelines to ensure timely deliveries from suppliers and to wholesale and retail clients;
  • Track and report on inbound and outbound shipments while analyzing logistics key performance indicators (KPIs);
  • Collaborate across departments, including sales, customer service, credit, and accounting, to address logistics-related questions and ensure smooth operations;
  • Act as the central point of contact for all logistics matters, providing clear communication and solutions;
  • Manage inventory levels and oversee bi-annual inventory counts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency;
  • Work well under pressure, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality or efficiency.
  • Leverage technical skills, including Outlook, Excel, and, ideally, Momentis ERP, to streamline logistics operations.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in English and French, the candidate will spend 50% of their time speaking in English to carry out operations with suppliers based in the United States;
  • 5-7 years of experience in a similar logistics or warehouse operations role;
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and guide teams effectively;
  • Expertise in warehouse operations and working with 3rd party service providers;
  • Familiarity with CIPAT, logistics certification processes, and tariffs;
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and solve logistics challenges;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook and Excel); Momentis ERP experience is a significant asset.
