Hours: Mon - Fri (08.00 - 17.00)
We have a fantastic permanent opportunity for a Logistics Manager to join the business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing the Logistics operation. You will be required to develop systems and procedures to meet the current and future needs of the business. To manage, motivate and develop a team able to deliver results in line with business requirements.
An overview of the day today duties of the role are:
- Acting as a role model for all agreed management practices, managing, guiding, and coaching direct reports whilst demonstrating best practices at all times.
- Managing the allocated Logistics site to all agreed key performance indicators (KPI’s)
- Management of the Logistics Department budget
- Building effective relationships with Management teams and participating in Senior Management team meetings
- Monitoring the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of all materials and finished goods
- Allocating and managing staff resources to meet the changing needs of the business
- Ensure all equipment is well maintained and in safe working order
- Delivering Logistics related projects, on time and within budget
- Ensure monthly review meetings are held with outside service providers
- #Managing the allocated Logistics site to manage all Customer orders are fulfilled on time and in full
- To perform any other task that is of a reasonable request in line with the Logistics department
- Adhere to the company’s H&S policies and procedures
- Adhere to the company’s Hygiene policies and procedures
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Good knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems
- Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Personally Effective – effective as part of a team, excellent organisational skills, ability to prioritise and delegate
- Ability to seek out, manage and influence opportunities for continuous improvement and change
- Ability to lead the Logistics team to meet all deadlines
- 5S
- Lean Six Sigma
- Production/manufacturing
- Qualification relevant to the position.
- CILT Level 6 Logistics & Transport Professional Diploma
- Foundation Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management or relevant qualifications
- Experience in a senior Logistics / Supply Chain role.
