Description:
THE COMPANY:

Our family of brands include Harringtons, Wagg, Barking Heads & Meowing Heads, AATU, Blink, Butchers, Classic Cat and a selection of partner brands that trust us to produce food on their behalf. Our kitchens in Thirsk, Kinmel and Crick produce dry, wet, and baked foods which are enjoyed by dogs and cats all over the world.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Deliver & deploy IPN business strategy through engaging teams and peers to achieve the goals.
- Managing against EHS plan/performance across the logistics sites to enhance colleagues’ health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace. Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple logistics hubs, ensuring that each site meets productivity, safety, and quality targets.
- Compliance against site QMS and working alongside the quality function to improve quality standards to support our most loved brands.
- Contribute to the business EBITDA growth by controlling logistics spend and delivering process and productivity projects. Develop, manage, and optimise budgets for each site, including labour, transportation, maintenance, and capital expenditure.
- Deliver the site’s logistics needs in line with customer expectations. Manage the capacity and scaling needs of each location, balancing workload, labour, and resource allocation across sites.
- Provide inspirational leadership and direction to the operational community to ensure that people are kept safe, engaged, focused and delivering to their potential. Ensure consistent training programs are in place across all sites to maintain operational standards and ensure colleague development.
- Liaise with suppliers, 3PL’s and logistic providers calling on procurement (when required), to minimise cost and meet changing customer needs.
- Monitor commercial and operations activities to recognise and understand the impacts in own functional area and adapt the logistics network to respond to changing needs.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or operations, preferably in a multi-site environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and influence teams across various geographical locations.
- Previous experience of working with customers and being accountability for customer service levels
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Capability to plan and implement initiatives in a complex organisation
- Sound knowledge of modern manufacturing methodologies and systems planning
- Experience in leading business improvement activities
- Level 3 Health and Safety - IOSH
- Level 3 Food Safety
Responsibilities:
To lead and optimise logistics across multiple distribution centres. logistics across multiple business units, delivering and developing and implementing logistics strategies that ensure efficiency, cost effectiveness, and service quality across all sites and exceeds customer expectation. This role will include some travel across our 3 sites.
