As a Logistics Operations Manager on the Pomerleau logistics team, you will manage and develop the logistics operations of the Sainte-Catherine center for large-scale building and infrastructure construction projects - ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion. You will have the opportunity to oversee the processing of requests from regional coordinators to efficiently respond to construction site requests from our Sainte-Catherine logistics center. This includes, but is not limited to, the planning, coordination and follow-up of all requests (equipment and inventories) sent to the Sainte-Catherine logistics center, right up to delivery to the job site. He will also be responsible for managing the teams assigned to the yard, warehouse and goods-in/out operations of the logistics center.

Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Coordinate the operations of the Sainte-Catherine logistics center with the various team leaders in maintenance, yard operations, warehouse, goods receiving/shipping and transportation to ensure that equipment and inventories are delivered on time. Assign tasks to various work teams and follow up on requests to ensure equipment delivery and inventory schedules are met.
- Develop and monitor standard operating procedures for all our logistics centers.Train/advise/coach yard and warehouse employees in their daily tasks.
- Collaborate as required with regional coordinators, equipment coordinators and team leaders in other logistics centers to meet our customers’ needs.
- Collaborate with procurement and equipment coordinators as needed to renew consumable inventories to ensure they are available on time and meet jobsite needs.
- Manage yard and warehouse inventories at the logistics center. Review/analyze available consumable product lines with procurement and regional coordinators to ensure they adequately meet jobsite needs. Optimize inventory levels to ensure demand is met (Min/Max).
- Optimize the use of consumables in line with the company’s sustainable development strategy.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with logistics center operations.Supervise operations and teams in goods receiving/shipping, yard and warehouse.
- Develop, maintain and upkeep yard and warehouse infrastructures to ensure optimal and safe operations. Manage related operating and improvement expenses.
- Optimize work teams by ensuring that all employees have the necessary training and tools/equipment to perform tasks safely and efficiently.
THIS ROLE COULD BE FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics operations management or similar relevant experience.
- At least 8 years’ experience in operations management.
- Familiarity with Office suite and ERP systems.
- Bilingualism (English and French), both spoken and written.Mobility and willingness to travel occasionally to Quebec City and/or St-Georges.
- Additional asset:
- Experience working on construction sites.
