YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in procurement, preferably in a logistics or supply chain environment.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and market intelligence/benchmarking tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with supplier relationship management.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities:
YOUR ROLE
The Logistics Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement of logistics and transportation services necessary for the customer’s logistics and transportation operations. This role involves developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of logistics and transportation services. This position requires an individual to maintain a robust customer presence and consistently foster effective collaboration.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the customer’s logistics and supply chain objectives.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains.
- Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Address and resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers.
- Collaborate with customer to define the go to market strategy
- Manage and execute tender via approved Global Quotation Process (GQP).
- Preparation of RFP specifications and requirements.
- Market research and pre-qualification of RFP participants
- Cost baselining to support cyclical RFP process.
- Distribution of RFPs and participant FAQ support.
- Selection criteria development
- Bid response analysis and award scenario modelling
- Lead/Support customer with participant negotiation, contracting and handover to operations.
- Analyze procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Develop and manage the procurement budget.
- Implement cost control measures to ensure procurement activities stay within budget.
- Coordinate with internal departments to forecast procurement needs and specifications.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services to support logistics operations.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier performance.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for procurement activities.
- Stay updated on market trends and regulatory changes that may impact procurement.
