Description:
The postholder is responsible for ensuring the logistics function is optimised across the Trust. It is essential that suppliers are managed and that bottlenecks do not occur. All deliveries must be scheduled and managed and stock levels must be maintained at an appropriate level. The postholder will also be responsible for ensuring that the automated guided vehicles are utilised effectively.
There is responsibility for the management and development of all staff within the Logistics function. The Site Manager will help with the recruitment of staff for the department and will provide expert professional advice to others in the Procurement & Logistics teams The Site Manager will ensure that time and resources are managed through effective teamwork, leadership and motivation across the Logistics Service
