ROLE DESCRIPTION

Cement production is responsible for 8% of global CO2 emissions, more than aviation, shipping, and long-haul trucking combined. Ecocem is shaping the future of low carbon cement with ambitions to deliver a 50% cut in CO2 emissions from cement by 2030. As part of our focus on continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Logistics Specialist who will contribute to developing the strategy for future growth at a global level.
This is a rare opportunity to join a rapidly expanding, venture backed business that can change the world for the better. You will be working in a high-performing, entrepreneurial, talent-focused and innovation driven business. This role provides an excellent opportunity for an initiative-taking and driven individual to have a significant impact in a brief time.
The role is to support the logistic function of the group – including truck and shipping movements across several jurisdictions (Ireland, UK, Europe). The role includes aspects of transport planning, supply chain administration, stock control, master data management and multi-modal logistics.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Logistics Team in relation to the management of the logistics operations across the Group to ensure the smooth operation of our supply chain.
  • Assist in the coordination of the overall transport operation to ensure optimum utilisation of resources, equipment and technology.
  • Receive orders and organise the loading and transportation of these orders to customers in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Assistance in the stock control of the plants as well as in the procurement of consumables
  • Foster and develop good relations with both existing and potential customers and 3rd party logistics providers to ensure retention and growth of business.
  • Liaise with overseas partners to ensure the department is proactive in providing a quality operational performance.
  • Develop in-¬depth knowledge of all aspects of the role to ensure full ownership.
  • Deal with customer queries in relation to logistics
