Job Summary (Basic Functions): LG Chem America, Inc. (LGCAI) is actively searching for an individual experienced with Logistics Planning. This position will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of shipping operations from raw materials coming to our plants to final products being shipped to our customers. The logistic planner will need to be experienced with contract and contract negotiations, pricing, inventory, and warehousing as well as determine the most cost-effective mode of transportation. LG Chem is a global petrochemical company with high sales growth goals in Colombia and this position will be based in our office in Bogota, Colombia.

COMPETENCIES/DESIRED SKILLS:
- Research and analyze industry information to accurately apply pricing and maximize company sales and profits
- Communicate with HQ to improve and expand business
- Manage existing accounts (Account Management) and develop new relationships to build business
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business related fields from an accredited university or college program required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+years of professional work experience related with logistics planning for production facility- establishing transportation and warehousing process and vendor sourcing.
- Experience with logistics cost management and reporting
- Knowledge of customs, duty, import processes and HTS code maintenance
- Bilingual (Fluent) in English and Spanish (speaking and writing) required
- Attention to detail with strong analytical skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION/WHAT WE’D LIKE TO SEE:
- Experience with forecasting tools and advance EXCEL skills highly preferred
- Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and presentation
- Proficiency in the use of PC and Microsoft Office suite (Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word etc.)
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Essential Functions (include but are not limited to):
- Maintain logistics contract with service provider, sourcing/develop new partners
- Analysis Logistics costs/KPIs and develop improvement plan
- Problem-solving in logistics issues
- Optimize external warehouses and inventory
- Establishes and maintains department records and reports
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
Other duties as assigned
- Coordinate with other departments for 3PL contract, statement of account reports, Inventory forecasts, commission reports and etc.
- Participate and assist Team Leader and groups on any projects as neede
